privacy and comfort in the Mexican Caribbean

One day in Sol & Arena

Hidden among the lush coastal vegetation and facing the turquoise sea of the Mexican Caribbean, Sol & Arena cabins offer privacy and comfort in a place where you will enjoy nature at its best.

A day at Sol y Arena means waking up to the squawking of seagulls and the lullaby of the sea. When you wake up, you can have breakfast under the shade of the palm trees, and later take a stroll to the seashore, which is just a few steps away.

Xcalak

Xcalak means "twins" or "two entrances" in Mayan. This coastal town has a little more than 300 inhabitants, who have the privilege of enjoying one of the few virgin beaches that still remain in the Mexican Caribbean. In addition to the natural attractions of the area, such as its beaches, wetlands and the Mesoamerican Reef, the second largest coral reef in the world, Xcalak is also an important point of communication. There is the Zaragoza Channel, which connects the bay of Chetumal with the Caribbean Sea without having to pass through the waters of Belize.

What our customers say

Very nice host family. Maximum hospitality from the couple in charge of the villa. Unique cottage in the large grounds, ideal to disconnect from the world. Good wifi connection. Sea views from inside the jungle. Great concept. With a small pool to cool off. Super well kept cabin, with good water pressure and sustainable.

the place is beautiful! We stayed 3 nights with our 2 kids and would have liked to stay longer. The bungalows are on the beach, among the palm trees, most of the time we had the beach to ourselves, free use of kayaks and bikes, mini pool, good parking places, friendly staff.... The breakfast was the best we had in Mexico. They organized a snorkeling excursion and a scuba diving activity for us, both were great. We can recommend this place without hesitation!

The cabins are very well maintained and clean. The temperature at night is wonderful and the murmur of the sea lulls you to sleep both day and night. A paradise.

Picturesque surroundings, very friendly host and the gardens are very well kept. Breakfast was delicious and homemade. Water is provided as well as a fridge. All windows have mosquito netting to keep out insects. We really enjoyed this accommodation, it was one of our favorite stays of our trip.
